buuuuuut

the airlines continuing to raise their prices (freakin gas/taxes etc.) is really pissing me off. making it harder for me to make money. and to go on my own dang trips. #travelconsultantproblems 

More Whole Grains, Less You

I’m sure I’m not the only one so so sick of recent commercials showing very thin women plotting their further emaciation. This first brings to mind the Special K skinny lady commercials but more recently Cheerios has been ticking me off.

My note to consumer services:

“I’m very disappointed with your ad slogan ‘more whole grains less you.’ I feel like you are using the insecurities of women to sell your product. Couldn’t you just sell it for being healthy and delicious not dwell on America’s girth concern. I have bought Cheerios in the past but will not be supporting your company with such a negative ad campaign. Why in the hell would we want less of ourselves? How about less societal pressure to be thin?? Thank you for your time.”

I wanted to share my complaint with you in hopes it will perhaps inspire you to do the same. Even if you don’t go out of your way to write some snack food a nasty note, think about purchasing a different product that has more positive marketing towards women.
